    The physical Bussenmin Button can be carried while travelling and gives quick access to relevant public-transport information.

    Bussenmin Accessibility combines the physical Bussenmin Button with a dedicated Screen reader mode for VoiceOver and TalkBack. It is designed to make public transport information easier to access for blind and low-vision passengers, with minimal need to navigate a visual phone interface.

    The physical part

    Quick access with the Bussenmin Button

    The Bussenmin Button is a small wireless physical button that you can carry with you. Simple button interactions provide quick access to relevant spoken public transport information without first navigating the phone screen.

    • Around you

      Find nearby stops and platforms, and hear upcoming departures.

    • When vehicles approach

      Get information about a nearby or approaching vehicle when Bussenmin has reliable live data.

    • When you are ready to board

      Receive boarding guidance linked to the correct departure when the information is reliable enough.

    • During the journey

      Hear the next stop, upcoming stops, the destination and other relevant journey information.

    Let the Button follow the journey you intend to take

    In Screen reader mode, you can select a specific departure or planned journey and use it with the Bussenmin Button. The Button can then focus on the intended departure, platform and journey – and the associated vehicle when the data can be linked reliably – instead of having to interpret which departure you mean.

    When Bussenmin detects VoiceOver or TalkBack, the app automatically presents a simplified, linear and text-oriented interface designed to be easier to navigate with a screen reader.

    This is how the two parts can support a public transport journey from planning to arrival.

    1. Before reaching the stop

      Find nearby stops and relevant departure information.

    2. When you know which bus to take

      Select the departure or journey in Screen reader mode so the Button can focus on it.

    3. At the stop

      Receive information about the selected departure and approaching vehicle when reliable live data is available.

    4. On board

      Use the Button to hear the next stop and other relevant information during the journey.

    An additional aid

    Boarding and alighting signals where supported

    When the required conditions are met, the passenger may receive a boarding signal to show on the phone. A Bussenmin driver associated with the correct vehicle may also receive information about where the passenger intends to board or get off.

    This is an additional aid. A signal does not confirm that the driver has seen the information and does not guarantee that the vehicle will stop.
